When Lisa first welcomed Verona, her first grandchild, into the world, she knew she was special. “As my first grandchild, she opened a level of love I never thought possible,” Lisa says.

Verona began speech therapy, occupational therapy, and ABA. Lisa spent her days trying to stay strong while helping her granddaughter get the support she needed.
“There were moments I felt utterly alone and ready to give up,” she says. Still, Lisa kept going.
